The Pee Dee River Railway (PDRR) is a progressive freight rail transportation company serving customers in Marlboro County, South Carolina. Its mission is to be the carrier of choice by providing customers with value-added services that meet and exceed expectations. It strives to do this every day by listening to customers and working with them to satisfy their needs while reducing supply chain costs. A hallmark of its personal service is frequent and dependable transportation at competitive rates.

The PDRR operates on a former CSXT line purchased in 1987 by Marlboro County. The line was purchased to preserve freight rail service for the county and to help encourage industrial development. As a result, Willamette Industries (now Domtar) built a pulp and paper mill at Marlboro Mills (south of Bennettsville) which opened in 1990. This development was followed by other new or expanded PDRR-served industries.

The PDRR connects with CSX Transportation at McColl, SC. The line runs south from McColl and continues through Bennettsville to Marlboro Mills.

Commodities carried include pulp, paper, chemicals, aggregates, fertilizer and plastic pellets.

Customers served are Domtar, Hanson Aggregates, Mohawk Industries, Southern States and Flakeboard. These firms employee more than 1,500 local workers.
